March 21, 2024 - MacArthur Grand Logistics Center – Building 1
Congratulations to Associate David Krogh, AIA and team for designing and completing the Brookfield Properties MacArthur Grand Logistics Center Building 1 project located in Grand Prairie, TX. This building is a 600K+ SF cross dock facility featuring two corner entries that utilize stacked stone, steel sunshades, curtainwall, cornice, and ACM panels. This facility came under lease during construction by the tenant Conn’s Home Plus, as a result, a large office and warehouse improvements were incorporated to meet the tenant’s needs. The building offers 40’ clear height to maximize storage and material handling flexibility for Conn’s.

October 26, 2018 – MAA Annual Bowling Competition
No “bumpers” needed with this crew! A few of our team mates showed their ATL team spirit and competed in our annual bowling competition. This year’s event was held at Punch Bowl Social in Vinings. A little food, fun and perhaps a bit of smack talk, but they were all still smiling at the end of the competition!

September 13, 2018 – MAA Volunteers
On Thursday, September 13, 2018, Richard Leonard, President and Federico Chiappina, Vice President, along with Darren Rogge, Sr. Associate of Jordan and Skala Engineers volunteered with the Home Depot Foundation to help renovate the Hope and Healing at Hillenglade in Nashville, TN. This facility is a therapeutic farm that helps veterans and their families transition back to civilian lifer after deployment. Macgregor Associates Architects, Inc. (MAA) has opened an office in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1987 by J. Bruce Macgregor and Richard Leonard and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia the firm has enjoyed significant growth as it approaches 30 years in business. Led by partners Richard Leonard, Federico Chiappina, and Andrew Dell, MAA has attained a reputation of excellence in industrial design with many major corporations and developers throughout the United States and abroad. Acknowledging years of collaboration with clients throughout Texas and the surrounding Southwestern states, the firm opened its Dallas office.

July 22-24, 2016 – MAA Weekend Retreat!
It’s that time of year again when MAA takes a moment to relax and rejuvenate our batteries! This year’s retreat was hosted at The Ridges Resort & Marina in Hiwassee, GA. Our team and their families enjoyed a weekend of relaxing and play through rounds of golf, horseback riding, fishing, spa treatments and more. Some of our team even displayed their talents on the mic singing karaoke! We have a pretty talented crew! Despite the heat, a great time was had by our team and their families.

We are pleased to announce that George H. Carleton, III, better known as Skip, has joined our team. Skip, an Eagle Scout, is a graduate of Auburn University (Go Tigers!) and is currently testing for his architectural license. This week, Jimmy Marr, Director of Quality Assurance, Bill Tessier, Director of Design, and Andrew Smith, BIM Manager, were in Las Vegas learning about the latest in Autodesk technology. Lucky for us, what happens in Vegas won’t stay in Vegas, as they’ll be bringing back their new found knowledge and sharing it with the firm!

MAA completed the design for the expansion of a large datacenter in The Netherlands, and is working on the design of two new large datacenter projects in Oklahoma and North Carolina.

Our very own, Stephanie Harris, RA was the moderator for this year’s NOMAtlanta Influential Women: Excellence & Leadership panel discussion. Stephanie has been a board member of NOMA for almost three years now and this was the second time she has had the privilege of being a host/moderator for this event.

September 17, 2015 – IIDA Dressed 2015
Project Coordinator, Ashley Quinn, participated in IIDA’s 2015 Dressed! competition. Dressed is Georgia’s IIDA chapter’s largest annual event and pairs Atlanta’s most talented interior designers and architects with the architectural and design (A&D) industry manufacturers to create one of a kind and wearable garments out of non-traditional materials. This year’s event theme was Under the Big Top. Ashley helped create a jacket that was made from non-traditional materials such as tile and vinyl.

August 31, 2015 – Welcome Karen Ernberger!
Karen is bringing 10+ years of experience in the construction & design industry to our team as our new Accounting Assistant. Originally from Pittsburgh, Karen is a graduate of Robert Morris University and is a HUGE Steelers and Pirates fan. When Karen’s children are home from college, she and her husband, Ray, enjoy spending time with the family going for walks and playing sports together. June 17, 2015 – Prologis project in Orlando, FL
MAA is beginning design work for a Prologis build-to-suit for Siemens Corporation in Orlando, FL. This 315,000 SF logistics facility will be used to process and distribute turbine parts worldwide. We are excited to be teamed up with Prologis on another project.

June 1, 2015 – Aida Suta, Project Coordinator, has joined our team!
Aida Suta is bringing her 20+ years of experience to MAA’s studio team as our new Project Coordinator. Aida is originally from Bosnia and is a graduate of the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovia. In Aida’s spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, hiking and unleashing her creativity through painting. Dobrodošli Aida, we are pleased to have you on our team!

May 1, 2015 – MAA has gone global!
MAA is pleased to announce that we have started two new projects in Europe for a large undisclosed information technology company. We have had the pleasure of designing for them here in the US over the last few years and are pleased to continue our work with them as they expand in Europe.

April 13, 2015 – Introducing Ke’Ida Albright!
Our Interiors Department is happy to announce the addition of Ke’Ida Albright to the team! Ke’Ida is a graduate of SCAD and is our newest Interiors Intern. Ke’Ida has many talents, but most people would be surprised to find out that she is also a chef. Ke’Ida loves to cook and is part of an underground foodie scene here in Atlanta. We have no doubt that she will bring the same creativity she has in the kitchen to her position here at MAA; with your fun, fresh, and artistic flair our team is happy you’re here!

April 7, 2015 – Welcome Josh Groach, RA, LEED-AP!

After a 4 year hiatus, Lindsay Cadaret has re-joined our Interiors team! While Lindsay was away, she and her husband, Bil, had two boys, Joseph & Benjamin. Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a registered Interior Designer in Georgia. March 16, 2015 – Welcome Mike Janulewicz!
MAA is excited to announce that Mike Janulewicz, a recent Georgia Tech alum, has joined our team as an intern. Mike is an accomplished Lacrosse player, who played on the Polish National Lacrosse Team in 2010 and currently coaches a youth team in South Forsyth. Mike, an Eagle Scout, is also actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America. One of Mike’s life-long goals is to hike the entire Appalachian Trail…barefoot! Shoes or no shoes Mike, we’re happy you’ve joined our team.

February 23, 2015 – Aloha Gene Yambaw!
Aloha Gene Yambaw! Gene, a graduate of the University of Hawaii, brings his 23 years of experience to MAA as our new Project Coordinator. Born and raised in Hawaii, Gene moved to the mainland after meeting his wife and they now have two daughters 9 & 14. Gene and his family recently moved from California to join our team. In Gene’s spare time he enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and playing his bass guitar. We have no doubt that through these hobbies, and his experience, he’ll bring added focus and creativity to our team!

December 13, 2014 – MAA Christmas Party
Our team gathered together for an evening of food, fun and fellowship at the historic Pace House in Vining’s. We danced the night away to the beats dropped by the DJ, and a few brave souls took to the mic for a little karaoke! It was a fun night.

Welcome aboard Shawn Crabtree! Shawn joins our team as one of our new Project Managers, with close to 15 years of experience, we’re sure he will be a very valuable asset to our team.
